My Biography

My name is LaKeisha Michelle Chestnut.I was born in Brooklyn, New York, but I was raised in Mobile, Alabama. I now currently reside in Birmingham, Alabama. I`m 32 years old and single. I'm a Mary Kay Consultant, and I`m currently working towards going to law school in the fall of 2010. I am also the former Community Affairs Vice-president of the Orange County, FL Young Democrats and still a member of the Women and Minority Caucuses of the Young Democrats of America. I love to read, write short stories, plays and scrpts. I am co-owner of a up and coming production company with my friend, Ravenda Johnson, and we`re in the process of submitting our first script as a dynamic writing team. Currently, I am writing my autobiography and my first novel ("Southern Belle Trapped in a New England Town"). I also love Broadway shows (if you haven`t seen "AIDA", you missed one hell of a show. Saw it when Heather Headley was in it. AWESOME!!), museums (Kinda partial to Van Gogh), operas (Love Mozart), and concerts(Still have yet to see The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith). I am also a HUGE fan of The Rock. Yes, I am a wrestling fan. I started this blog to speak my mind and hear from the people. So if you have a thought, by all means, leave a comment. I welcome it. That's for sure. You may find your comment in a future entry. Just remember to "Keep it Real"!

The heart is one of the strongest muscles in the body. If you give your heart to someone, and they break it, will it be able to stand up to the pain? Always remember that God is in control. And whatever pain you`re feeling, remember to "Let Go and Let God".
This site is dedicated to my daughters, Angelina, Camryn, and Shakira. Mommy loves you!!!!
